The AFL has appointed Richard Loveridge as the interim Chair of the AFL Appeals Board for the remainder of the 2026 AFL Season and the 2026 AFLW Season.
Mr Loveridge has served on the AFL Tribunal and AFL Appeals Board since 1999.
Mr Loveridge has had a long career as a lawyer in private practice, including more than 20 years as a Partner of a leading international law firm and is also a decorated former player of the Hawthorn Football Club, having played 136 games for Hawthorn between 1982 and 1989, including the 1983 and 1986 premierships.
The AFL thanks Mr Loveridge for accepting this important appointment.
