FREMANTLE has confirmed young gun Darcy Tucker’s knee injury is not serious

Tucker was sent to Melbourne knee specialist Julian Feller following the club's NAB Challenge clash with Richmond last Friday.

Dockers coach Ross Lyon raised concern about Tucker on Wednesday when he revealed the 19-year-old's knee scans were curious.

"In the game he was fine," Lyon said on Wednesday. "Then he came in, we thought it was a cork.

"The scan took us by surprise. There's a bit of a signal there that we need to get checked out."

The club confirmed on Thursday that Tucker had been cleared of any significant ligament damage.

He had already been ruled out of Sunday's second NAB Challenge game against Adelaide in Mount Barker but he should be available for the Dockers' third NAB Challenge match against Geelong on March 12 at Domain Stadium.

Tucker, the Dockers' first pick in last year's NAB AFL draft, gathered 21 disposals against Richmond and Lyon said the club was very pleased with his pre-season debut.

"Tucker was our third-highest possession winner," Lyon said.

"I think he's flown under the radar a little bit. We were thrilled with him."

The Dockers have named another strong squad for Sunday's clash with the Crows with veterans Michael Johnson and Chris Mayne returning after missing the clash with the Tigers. Exciting second-year midfielder Ed Langdon has also been included after missing last week with a virus.

Tucker (knee) and Hayden Ballantyne (hamstring) have both been ruled out.

There remains some concern over skipper David Mundy who has been on a limited training program in the last two weeks due to groin soreness. He will not play in Mount Barker and is racing to be fit for the Dockers' final NAB Challenge game.

Harley Bennell was not named despite training strongly on Wednesday. He finally returned to the main group this week following a long rehab program on his calf issues and is on track to play in the third NAB Challenge game on March 12.

Ruckman Zac Clarke has also been left out of the squad to face the Crows.
