CHLOE Scheer will play her first AFLW game in two years, in a huge boost to Geelong's new era under Mick Stinear.

Back-to-back toe and knee issues have kept the Cats star on the sidelines for the last two seasons, but she will be unleashed against North Melbourne alongside experienced recruit Nicola Stevens and debutants Evie Cowcher, Priya Bowering, and Emma Murray.

Maddy Prespakis has successfully overcome a knee scare to be named in Essendon's side set to face Brisbane.

No.1 draft pick Olivia Wolmarans and late selection Baia Pugh will feature for Richmond against Collingwood, while Kristie-Lee Weston-Turner has been named as an emergency for North Melbourne after she chose to delist herself to get to the reigning premier via the draft.

Collingwood will also unveil 10 new additions – six for their AFLW debut including pick No.8 Imogen Trengove, and four club debuts, including late replacement signing Dom Carbone, who will run out for her third AFLW side when the Pies face Richmond on Saturday.

Sydney Academy products Maddie Quinn and Imogen Brown have earned their guernsey for the Swans against Adelaide, and Laura Gardiner, reigning Telstra AFLW Rising Star Zippy Fish and former No.1 pick Montana Ham have been named in the squad after a limited pre-season.

Alice Edmonds has made it through a shoulder issue to line up for the Western Bulldogs, but experienced duo Ellie Gavalas and Lauren Ahrens have been left out of the side to travel north.

As announced earlier in the week, Eden Zanker will run out in the purple for the first time as Fremantle faces Port Adelaide.
