CARLTON could be in line for a big boost at selection with a pair of stars set to test for this week’s clash against Adelaide.

Dynamic forward Sophie McKay (calf) and midfielder Keeley Sherar (quad) are both in the frame to return, should they get through training this week.

Elsewhere, Sydney spearhead Taylor Smith has reported calf tightness following the club's narrow win over the Crows, while a decision on Hawthorn midfielder Jasmine Fleming's availability for the Port Adelaide clash will be made later in the week as she deals with hamstring awareness.

The Lions have been dealt a big blow with midfielder Ally Anderson set for a stint on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, while the Suns will be without Charlotte Wilson for several weeks due to a foot injury.

North Melbourne veteran Emma Kearney, Fremantle defender Emma O'Driscoll, Adelaide winger Grace Kelly and Port Adelaide duo Sachi Syme and Piper Window are all in line for their respective returns, should they get through training this week. 

Former Saint Nicola Stevens could also make her Geelong debut after being withdrawn from the squad last week due to knee swelling.
