CARLTON'S reigning club champion Patrick Cripps is out of Sunday afternoon's clash with Essendon due to a tight calf.

The 21-year-old has been replaced by Simon White.

Cripps is ranked first in the competition for clearances per game.

The Blues are searching for their second win of the season after beating Fremantle at Domain Stadium last Sunday.

The Bombers are without vice-captain Mark Baguley, who was withdrawn from the side on Saturday.
