 Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, values driven and innovative Game Day & Activations Lead to join our Marketing, Brand and Game Day Team.
This role is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of engaging game day experiences, fan activations and Club events across AFL and AFLW. Working closely with internal teams, venues, suppliers and key stakeholders, the role ensures activations and operational requirements are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard with success reflected in seamless event execution, positive fan experiences and strong collaboration across the Club.
About the role
- Plan and deliver game day operations across AFL and AFLW home matches, from initial preparation through to on-the-day execution.
- Develop detailed run sheets, schedules and operational plans to support seamless match day delivery.
- Coordinate on-field presentations, in-stadium entertainment, signage and fan activations that create memorable experiences for members and supporters.
- Manage relationships with venues, suppliers, broadcasters and other external partners, ensuring requirements and timelines are clearly understood and met.
- Collaborate with teams across the Club to coordinate player involvement, partner deliverables and broader fan engagement requirements.
- Organise game day staffing, including volunteers and student cohorts, with clear responsibilities and appropriate resourcing.
- Support the delivery of marquee matches, Club campaigns and fan-facing events at RSEA Park, other venues and within the community.
- Lead and support the Game Day Coordinator while managing operational issues, risks and expenditure within agreed parameters.
 Desired Skills and Experience
About you
- You have experience planning and delivering events or activations involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration to build positive working relationships.
- You are operationally focused, planning thoroughly to follow up and follow through so game day requirements are delivered effectively.
- You can manage competing priorities, detailed schedules and changing requirements in fast-paced event environments and are calm under pressure.
- You share information confidently and ensure stakeholders understand requirements, responsibilities and timelines.
- You are solutions-focused and a natural problem solver - bringing practical ideas and finding smarter ways to enhance fan experience, event delivery and ways of working with stakeholders.
What you need
- 3+ years’ experience in event, game day, activation or related operational coordination, ideally within sport, entertainment or live events;
- Demonstrated experience working with venues, suppliers and event-day personnel to coordinate operational requirements and deliverables;
- Availability to work weekends, including AFL and AFLW match days and other Club events as required; and
Valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
