Key Focus of this Position:
Reporting to the People, Culture & Safety Manager, this role provides practical administrative support to the PCS team. It assists with day-to-day people, culture and safety processes, maintains accurate records and trackers, and helps ensure routine PCS services are delivered consistently and in line with agreed procedures, standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:Â
- Provide administrative support in the employment of casual program staff, competition staff and volunteers, including monitoring  and maintaining documentation and compliance requirements in online trackers.
- Assist in the administrative activities related to recruitment and selection processes and procedures.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, including arranging induction meetings, preparing welcome materials, coordinating required training, and assisting with equipment and login arrangements.
- Provide administrative support to the Work Health and Safety Committee including preparation of agendas, minutes and action items register.
- Coordinate the updating of health and well-being initiatives (e.g. Mental Health First Aid, Flu Shots and Skin Checks).
- Assist with administrative duties associated with People, Culture and Safety and Ops and Capability projects and reporting.
Experience Required (Essential and Desirable)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline (E)
- Demonstrated experience working in roles that provide HR administration support (E)
- Demonstrated ability to undertake administrative activities with a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail (E)
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders (E)
- Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines and with competing priorities (E)
- Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft office suite and a range of digital tools (E)
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues, work through practical solutions and escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately. (E)
- Demonstrated ability to take responsibility and work unsupervised, as well as part of a small team. (E)
- Demonstrated professional, proactive, flexible and self-motivated approach to a busy operational hands-on role. (E)
- Demonstrated professional approach to dealing with confidential staffing matters and personnel related information. (E)
- Demonstrated experience with administration of HR admin/HRIS or other similar databases. (D)
- Knowledge and understanding of compliance with regards to legislation and HR practices and policies (D)
