THE MEGA start to AFL Women's has continued, with more huge television ratings on Saturday.

The Saturday night telecast of the Western Bulldogs' win over Fremantle had a peak audience of 498,000 viewers across the four cities where it was shown on Channel Seven or 7Mate.

In addition, the Adelaide Crows-Greater Western Sydney game, which was shown on Channel Seven in Adelaide, had a peak audience of 114,000 viewers.

The combined peak national audience on Seven was 885,000.

Coverage on Fox Footy peaked at 190,000.

AFLW helped Seven win the ratings week, and if numbers like this continue, women's footy is on track to become a hot property in future television rights negotiations.

Combined with blockbuster crowds at the three games so far, AFL officials and TV executives are said to be overwhelmingly delighted.

The overnight figures follow 896k viewers and a lock-out crowd for Friday night's AFLW opener between Carlton and Collingwood at Princes Park.

League bosses are expected to meet on Monday to discuss the possibility of moving some more matches to bigger venues due to the incredible interest from fans.
