CARLTON will be bolstered by the return of star forward Tayla Harris for its trip to Adelaide on Saturday.

The Blues swung the axe after a disappointing loss to the Western Bulldogs last Friday night when they booted only two goals.

Harris missed last week’s loss to the Western Bulldogs because of suspension. Her inclusion was one of five changes for the Blues, who also added tough on-baller Katie Loynes, defender Danielle Hardman, first-year midfielder Georgia Gee and utility Lauren Brazzale.

Jess Hosking has been rested, while ruck Kate Shierlaw, midfielders Natalie Plane and Madeline Keryk and defender Sarah Last were dropped.

The Crows made four changes after their draw with Greater Western Sydney last Sunday, with forward Abbey Holmes and young ruck Jess Allan headlining the outs.

In to face the Blues are defenders Anne Hatchard and Dayna Cox and midfielders Rheanne Lugg and Sophie Armitstead.

Melbourne responded to its second-straight loss with four changes for its crucial match against Brisbane at Casey Fields on Friday night.

Ruck Lauren Pearce, defenders Brooke Patterson and Claudia Whitfort and forward Eden Zanker are all into the side. They replace injured defender Meg Downie and omitted trio Laura Duryea, Erin Hoare and Alyssa Mifsud.

The Lions, equal-second with three wins and a game and percentage clear of third-placed Melbourne, made one unforced change, with defender Shannon Campbell in for Emma Pittman.

Fremantle made two changes after dropping a close one to the Lions last Saturday, with ruck Tayla McAuliffe and forward Jade De Melo replacing omitted pair Ashley Sharp and Jodie White.

The Dockers host the Giants on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval, with the visitors calling on defender Renee Tomkins and midfielder Maddy Collier. Veteran midfielder Renee Forth and ruck-forward Pippa Smyth miss out.

Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs have both named strong squads for their meeting in Moe in Victoria’s east on Sunday.

The Magpies added midfielders Kristy Stratton and Bree White to the 21 that beat Melbourne in Alice Springs, while the Bulldogs included midfielder Emma Mackie and forward Deanna Berry.
