THE WESTERN Bulldogs’ late inclusion Lin Jong’s night was over midway through the first term of the clash with Geelong after suffering a broken collarbone.

Jong was rushed into the Dogs’ line-up after Matt Suckling was a very late withdrawal from the Etihad Stadium encounter with Achilles soreness.

After starting on the bench, Jong got a couple of early touches before his night took a turn for the worse.

He gathered an errant Geelong kick near goal but was collared by Cat Sam Menegola, who slammed Jong’s head and upper body to the turf in a tackle that is certain to come under scrutiny.

Play was held up briefly as Jong gingerly regained his feet and left the field cradling his right arm in his guernsey.

Jong broke his right collarbone in the 2016 elimination final – an injury that ultimately cost him a chance to play in the club’s fairytale second premiership.
