EXCITING Greater Western Sydney forward Bobby Hill will make his debut in Sunday's important clash against Richmond at the MCG.

The Giants aggressively traded their way up last year's NAB AFL Draft board to select Hill with pick 24, despite the fact that he was halfway through his rehabilitation from a shoulder reconstruction.

GWS has delicately handled the 19-year-old's recovery but he's now played the past 10 matches of the NEAFL season and has shown outstanding form over the past month.

Hill had his best showing of the year a fortnight ago and won the game for the Giants against Sydney University with a last-second snap after starting the play at half back.

He followed that up with another solid performance against a Brisbane side stacked with AFL-listed talent.

That was enough for coach Leon Cameron to hand him his first game.

Recruited from the Perth Demons in the WAFL, Hill has electric leg speed off the mark, possesses a massive leap and is sure to add some spark to the Giants' forward line at ground level against the Tigers.

He is the cousin of star Fremantle midfielders Stephen and Bradley Hill.
