COLLINGWOOD champion Gavin Brown and his family will be allowed to be at Marvel Stadium to watch son Tyler make his debut on Friday night.

However as the AFL clamps down on access to changerooms in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, the family will not be allowed into the rooms for the jumper presentation ahead of the Pies’ contest with the Western Bulldogs.

ROUND ONE TEAMS Check 'em out

The League has set strict guidelines on who is able to attend the games in the wake of the pandemic, with the AFL confirming media, officials, each club's chairperson, chief executive and immediate family of debutants will be allowed to enter the closed games.

Furthermore, immediate family members of players reaching major milestones – such as Adelaide skipper Rory Sloane in his 200th game this weekend – will also be granted entry to games.

Brown, a former Magpies skipper and now assistant at North Melbourne, played 254 games for the Pies, including their 1990 flag.

He will see Tyler make his first appearance in the black and white stripes, with older son Callum also selected to line up for the Magpies.

There are a number of debutants set for round one across the League, including Gold Coast trio Matt Rowell, Noah Anderson and Connor Budarick, St Kilda forward Max King and Port Adelaide's Mitch Georgiades.

GWS gun Tom Green, Melbourne hard nut Kysaiah Pickett and Docker Sam Sturt are others set to play their first game over the weekend.

The Giants have changed plans and are expected to do their jumper presentation on the ground at Giants Stadium on Saturday night before their clash with Geelong so Green's family can observe.
