THE Port Adelaide Football Club will visit fans throughout the northern suburbs tomorrow (Tuesday 2 March) as the club’s partnership with the north continues to grow.

Power players will visit 15 schools in the City of Playford before heading to the Elizabeth Football Club at 4pm for an Auskick Clinic and autograph session, which will be open to all fans.

The Power’s continued work in the northern suburbs comes after the club’s involvement in the Northern Summit in 2008, a meeting conducted by UniSA and the City of Playford to tackle issues in the north.

Power Community Manager Darren Adamson said the club had been in constant contact with the City of Playford since the summit.

“Our club left the summit thinking that we had a role to play in the north of Adelaide, and that our presence would be well received,” Adamson said.

“We already have a large supporter base in the north, so it makes sense to visit our supporters and welcome new people to the game.

“We are keen to work in partnership with both UniSA and the City of Playford. UniSA offer programs in Sports Management and Human Movement so there is a natural fit with our club. The City of Playford has a great team of people delivering programs on a daily basis and we have offered our support.”

In addition, the Power will visit the 426 Program at John McVeity Centre and send players to junior sporting clubs throughout the season.
