FREMANTLE captain Matthew Pavlich is a late withdrawal from Sunday's match against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.
Pavlich was withdrawn just before the first bounce with a tight quad.
He was replaced by Matt de Boer.
The loss is a big one for the Dockers after Pavlich returned to form with a blistering five-goal performance against Hawthorn last Sunday.
The skipper will now race the clock for next Saturday's potential top-four decider against Port Adelaide at Patersons Stadium.
