WEST Coast will meet with troubled forward Murray Newman in the coming days after the 19-year-old left at quarter-time of a WAFL game on Saturday.
Newman collected one possession for Swan Districts in the opening term at Claremont Oval before storming into the rooms at the first change, grabbing his bag and leaving the ground.
The club confirmed on Sunday it would meet with Newman to discuss the circumstances around the incident.
West Coast football operations manager Neale Daniher was at Claremont Oval and investigated with Swans officials as to why Newman disappeared.
Daniher declined to comment to AFL.com.au.

Newman will stand trial in September after being charged with grievous bodily harm following an alleged incident at a nightclub in November last year.
After the alleged incident, Newman returned to Eagles pre-season training in poor physical condition, finishing behind coach John Worsfold in a 2km time-trial.
Newman, who played four matches for West Coast in his debut season in 2012, is out of contract at the end of the 2013 season.
