HARD nut midfielder Matt Thomas has been delisted by Port Adelaide, along with key forwards Daniel Stewart and Nick Salter as well as defender Nathan Blee.
They are four of seven changes to the club's squad, with rookies Justin Hoskin, Darren Pfeiffer and John Butcher's brother Danny also delisted.
Brett Ebert announced his retirement earlier in the season.
Thomas played 87 games for the Power and was known for his hard-at-it, in-and-under style.
The 26-year-old played four senior games this season but has been dominant for Norwood and is one of the favourites for Tuesday night's Magarey Medal.
"Although we don't see this group of players as part of our future it doesn't mean that each one of them, in their own different way, hasn't made a contribution to this football club," Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley said.
"They share a common bond of being players at the Port Adelaide Football Club which we won't forget and we're sure they won't either.
"One thing I've found out very quickly about this club is that once you've walked through these doors at Alberton you are part of the Port Adelaide family forever.
"On behalf of everyone at the club I sincerely thank them for their service and wish them all the very best in the future wherever their life takes them."
