COLLINGWOOD says there is no injury concern surrounding Nick Maxwell despite the captain being subbed out of Friday night's win over the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.

The skipper was subbed out in the third quarter of the 49-point win, which allowed veteran forward Alan Didak to come on for his first senior game for the season.

The Pies returned to Melbourne on Saturday with what director of football Geoff Walsh described as a "clean bill of health", which included Didak after his return to the AFL stage.

"[Maxwell's] fine. We were just looking for someone to sub off, really, to give 'Dids' a bit of a run, more than anything," Walsh told AFL.com.au.

"So he's fine. No issues. We had no issues with anyone after the game.

"It was a clean bill of health so that's good."

The Pies won't have defender Ben Johnson available for at least two weeks with the veteran hurting his calf at training last week.

"He's probably looking at a couple of weeks, this one and the next one," Walsh said.

Johnson, 32, played the first three games of the season in the AFL and two games in the VFL last month.

He missed four weeks in between with a calf complaint.
