On Tuesday 16 December, the Collingwood Football Club visited the Royal Children's Hospital to help bring Christmas spirit to the kids.
The team arrived at 12 pm and separated into groups of four to visit different sections of the ward.
The players talked with the kids, took pictures and signed autographs.
It was an extremely emotional day for the players as they met children who were battling severe illness.
"It was amazing to see these kids trying to survive such horrible illnesses," said Travis Cloke.
"The kids are so brave to deal with what they have to at such a young age."
Scott Pendlebury visited the oncology ward where he met a few inspirational children.
"To see these kids, they are just kids, trying to fight cancer. It's horrible but the kids and their families show such strength, it's amazing."
