I’M QUITE the hardcore Fantasy coach. I spend my weekends watching the footy, glued to my phone, looking at my scores tick over (sorry Mrs Warnie).

On Sunday nights, I eagerly wait until lockout is lifted so I can make my ‘rage trades’ before properly analysing the numbers for the week.

Midweek Fantasy stocktake

I'm obsessed with the high and low break-evens, which players had the biggest price changes and who are the best options for me to trade in for the upcoming round.

Settling on a downgrade to bring in Ciaran Byrne [DEF/FWD, $121,000], who was impressive when he came on for the Blues, looked like a good way to make some cash. This allowed me to do something about my forced Mitch Wallis [MID, $352,000] trade.

Then last night I found out Byrne didn’t fly to New Zealand due to a hamstring injury.

At this point, I spat it. No more looking at my team until the Thursday teams announcement. Who knows what other carnage we might have to deal with?

Instead, I selected my NAB AFL Fantasy Match Day team for round four - you can win $10,000 in the three games on offer this weekend. As a Bombers man, the game I am most excited about is the traditional Anzac Day blockbuster of my boys up against the Magpies.

Essendon midfielder Brent Stanton is my Match Day captain after his two epic Fantasy games against Collingwood last year. 143 on Anzac Day and then 150 in round 17.

The Traders will be online from 6.15pm AEST and will be looking at the best trade options, captaincy choices and more as the teams drop ahead of round three.
