GEELONG will be without recruit Jack Steven for Monday night's clash with Fremantle at Optus Stadium.

Steven has been managed by the Cats, while they have also lost ruckman Darcy Fort to foot soreness.

The duo joins Luke Dahlhaus (ankle), skipper Joel Selwood (hamstring), Jordan Clark (shoulder) and Gary Ablett (managed) as six outs from the side which lost to Collingwood by 22 points.

Virgin Australia AFL All Australian defender Tom Stewart will return for his first game since breaking his collarbone in round four against Melbourne, while also coming in will be gun midfielder Mitch Duncan, veteran Lachie Henderson, youngsters Lachie Fogarty and Charlie Constable, and small forward Brad Close will make his debut.

The Dockers will be without the injury-prone Stephen Hill (adductor), while speedster Travis Colyer has been omitted.

After recovering from the hamstring injury suffered in round five, defender Reece Conca will return for Freo as well as goalsneak Brandon Matera.
