CHRIS Scott faces some selection headaches for Geelong's Monday night clash against St Kilda with five potential changes from last Wednesday's side.

The Cats managed Brandan Parfitt, Esava Ratugolea, Jake Kolodjashnij and Gary Rohan ahead of the 33-point win over North Melbourne, and all four are ready to return against the Saints.

"The four that were managed were all managed on the basis that they would be better for this week, so they're all likely to play," Scott said on Sunday morning.

Jordan Clark dislocated his shoulder in round seven but the Cats are confident he's made a thorough recovery and he could return ahead of schedule.

"Yeah he is, he played a little bit of match practice last week against the Gold Coast and got through that really well," Scott said of whether Clark was in the mix to return against the Saints.

Nakia Cockatoo hasn't been sighted at AFL level since round three, 2018 but there's a chance he could be ready to play on Friday night against Port Adelaide or Adelaide in round 13.

"I'm starting to think about next week," Scott said of Cockatoo's potential return.

"The practice match that he just had was the best I've seen so far and I think we're getting to the stage now where we can pick him with some confidence."

Scott confirmed Jack Steven is likely to face his former side on Monday night, but there's still no clarity on whether Gary Ablett could return at any stage this year.

"Nothing to update there, I'm still very hopeful (Ablett could play again this year) but I'm not sure Gary knows," Scott said.

Scott also confirmed the Cats have had an "audit" on all players' boots after Collingwood defender Isaac Quaynor suffered a large gash to his leg caused by non-compliant stops worn by Sydney debutant Sam Wicks.
