The AFL advises the Match Review of the Round 11 Adelaide Crows v Collingwood match has been completed. One charge was laid.

Charge Laid:
Ben Keays, Adelaide Crows, has been charged with Tripping (Fixed Financial Sanction) John Noble, Collingwood, during the fourth quarter of the Round 11 match between the Adelaide Crows and Collingwood, played at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday August 11.
 
In summary he can accept a $500 sanction with an early plea.
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Tripping (Fixed Financial Sanction). The incident was classified as a $750 sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a $500 sanction with an early plea.

AFL Tribunal Written Submission Outcomes - Monday August 10 and Tuesday August 11

The AFL wishes to confirm the outcomes from the AFL Tribunal relating to the written submissions from Collingwood’s Callum Brown, St Kilda’s Nick Coffield and Brisbane Lions' Matt Eagles.

Callum Brown, Collingwood, had been charged with Rough Conduct (Dangerous Tackle) against Jordan Dawson, Sydney Swans, during the third quarter of the Round 10 match between Collingwood and the Sydney Swans, played at the Gabba on Thursday August 6.

The charge was upheld.
 
The fine is now $1500.
 
Nick Coffield, St Kilda, had been charged with Striking Ben Ainsworth, Gold Coast SUNS, during the third quarter of the Round 10 match between the Gold Coast SUNS and St Kilda, played at Metricon Stadium on Thursday August 6.

The charge was upheld.
 
The fine is now $1500.

Matt Eagles, Brisbane Lions, had been charged with Kicking Marcus Bontempelli, Western Bulldogs, during the third quarter of the Round 11 match between the Brisbane Lions and the Western Bulldogs, played at the Gabba on Saturday August 8.

The charge was upheld.
 
The fine is now $1500.

Please note: As previously communicated, Tribunal proceedings have been simplified for challenges to financial sanctions, where at the election of the charged player a single legally trained jury member may decide the matter on the basis of written submissions only. The charged player will not be required to attend a Tribunal hearing. The AFL will communicate the outcome on behalf of the Tribunal.
