Defender Harry Taylor will make his AFL debut and David Wojcinski will return to the team when Geelong face Essendon on Sunday.
Taylor was the Cats first round draft pick and impressed in four pre-season games. He will become the 1,013th senior player in Geelong history and the second debutante this season following Trent West’s debut against Port Adelaide.
Wojcinski damaged his finger in the final practice game against Richmond and required surgery to repair the tendon. He has recovered well and will take his place in the line up.
Brent Prismall, David Johnson and Travis Varcoe have been named as emergencies.
Kane Tenace has been omitted and Andrew Mackie has a quad strain, keeping him out of the line up.
