West Coast Eagles veterans Darren Glass and Andrew Embley were joined by their young families last week to show off their favourite Team Store Father’s Day items.

Captain Darren Glass was joined at the club by wife Alicia and daughters Mila and Zara, while Andrew Embley bought along his wife Rayne, daughter Autumn and newborn son Lux.

West Coast has experienced a baby boom in the last year, with Glass, Embley, Daniel Kerr and Quinten Lynch among those preparing to celebrate Father’s Day on September 4.

“We’ve had a lot of new arrivals at the club over the past few years,” Glass said.

“It doesn’t change life at the club because football is always our focus here, but it’s definitely changed my life outside of football.”

Glass’s two-year-old daughter Mila is her dad’s biggest fan, although he may face some competition from Nic Naitanui.

“Mila recognises Nic Naitanui from the newspaper, so she gets excited when she sees him,” Glass laughed.

“She will often tell people ‘Daddy is at the footy’. She has been to a few games and will cheer on the team.”

The star defender is looking forward to enjoying Father’s Day at home with his young family.

“Mila loves pancakes, so we’ll have to cook some up in the morning and then spend the day at the park with the kids,” Glass said.

Glass was quick to offer advice for West Coast fans still looking for the perfect Father’s Day gift.

“The boys at the club all love the retro hoody, but I think if your dad is a big West Coast fan, you can’t go past a football guernsey or team polo.”
