Yesterday Planet Teal held it’s annual Footy and Funk day. Over 400 Planet Teal members turned up for the day, despite the howling winds and rain.

Whilst the footy clinic and the training session for players was cancelled, fun options inside the Port Club included funk dancing, Life Be In it Games and autograph signing.

On top of that, everyone there got free pies, pasties and donuts, free fruit and flavoured milk. Everyone was entertained by the Funk Squad went home with a very full tummy!

Thunda was there too, and he learnt a few funky moves in the dance class.

Best of all, everyone had a big group photo with the team, which will appear in the next edition of ‘In the Huddle’.

In the big winds, the Planet Teal Zone that was set up outside crashed to the ground breaking all of the marquees! But don’t despair, they are getting repaired this very moment, in readiness for the zone this Saturday night at AAMI stadium when the POWER play the Kangaroos.

Because of the cancellation of the football clinic due to the rain, there will be a replacement clinic during August at ETSA park, so rain, hail or shine, all Planet Teallers are welcome to join in on the fun then, details will be confirmed in the near future.
