CAMERON Stokes is the unlucky player to make way for Cyril Rioli in the Hawthorn team set to take on North Melbourne in Sunday's early game in Launceston.

Rioli went straight into the starting 18 after recovering from a hamstring tear with Stokes dropping back to the emergency list with Brendan Whitecross and Ryan Schoenmakers.

Dean Cox and Ashley Hansen head the list of inclusions for West Coast which also features Patrick McGinnity, who will make his AFL debut.

McGinnity, 20, joined the club via the 2008 NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft and was pushing for senior selection last year before a bout of glandular fever.

He then had his jaw broken in a collision with Collingwood's Nick Maxwell in this year's NAB Cup competition.

McGinnity is joined by Mark Nicoski and Eric Mackenzie who was a late withdrawal from the side defeated by Melbourne.

Daniel Kerr (abdominal strain) and Nic Naitanui (glute) were part of the initial 25-man squad named on Thursday, but were ruled out prior to Friday's final selection announcement.
