THE VOSS name will again be in a Brisbane Lions team this weekend.
Casey Voss – son of triple premiership captain Michael – is currently in Brisbane for two weeks training with the Lions and will play for their NEAFL team on Saturday.
The 18-year-old has graduated from Sturt's under-18 team to its SANFL reserves outfit in the past month and has been granted permission to head north for two weeks.
DROUGHT BREAKERS Lions grab first Perth win for eight years
The Lions play Southport on Saturday at Fankhauser Reserve from 1.30pm.
Voss has improved nicely this year and is a possible father-son selection, although the Lions would like to see his development continue over the next few months.
Like his famous father Michael, Casey is a tough midfielder who can win the hard ball and also loves to tackle.
He has spent a number of stints with the Lions over recent seasons, including some time in December alongside some other father-son prospects.
The Lions will arrive back in Brisbane on Monday night following their 55-point win over Fremantle on Sunday.
