In keeping with the famous football club with which it so strenuously and loyally aligns, premier Coterie Group, The Carltonians, continues to provide outstanding financial and moral support to Carlton and its players as they strive for excellence both on and off the field.

Established in 1964, the Carltonians Coterie Group is the original and longest serving coterie of the Carlton Football Club. The Carltonians boast a unique mix of leading business identities, corporate executive and entrepreneurs who share a passion for Carlton and support the Club on match days and various functions throughout the year.

This support was evident at the John Nicholls Medal dinner in October when a large contingent of Carltonian members and guests were on hand to support the Club and players at the Best & Fairest Awards. Such is the standing of the Carltonians within the Carlton Football Club that each year the Carltonians Achievement Award is presented to the recipient during the John Nicholls Medal Dinner.

This year, first-year President of the Carltonians, Sean Goldrick, presented Heath Scotland with The Carltonians Achievement Award for 2011.

The Carltonians adjudged Heath as the worthy Award recipient because he embodied the lofty standards required of all whose rare honour it is to don the famous dark Navy Blue.

Scotland’s consistency of performance through each of the 24 matches in which his team participated best mirrors The Carltonians’ durability and longevity through the years and indeed the decades of the Coterie’s noble existence.
