FANS will get their first glimpse of the next generation of stars after five of last year's top-10 NAB AFL Draft picks were selected in squads for Friday's AFLX games.
Clubs for the matches at Etihad Stadium have continued the trend of choosing inexperienced teams for their clashes, with Carlton set to blood its first two choices at last year's draft – Paddy Dow (No.3 pick) and Lochie O'Brien (No.10).

St Kilda has also named its pair of top-10 picks, Hunter Clark and Nick Coffield, for their first appearances in the red, black and white, while No.4 pick Luke Davies-Uniacke has been chosen in North Melbourne's 15-player squad.
Clubs can have a squad of up to 20 players for the games, before naming 10 before each match.

The Blues will also unveil new recruit Matthew Kennedy after he crossed from Greater Western Sydney during last year's NAB AFL Trade Period, while Seb Ross headlines the key Saints set to feature in AFLX.
North Melbourne best and fairest winner Shaun Higgins will captain the Roos with Jamie Macmillan, while key midfielder Ben Cunnington and veteran Jarrad Waite have also been named, alongside ex-Hawthorn midfielder Billy Hartung.
Hawthorn's squad will be headed by premiership gun Jack Gunston, while Christian Petracca adds some excitement factor to Melbourne's largely young line-up. Demons draftee Charlie Spargo has also been selected for what will be his first outing for the club.
The Hawks announced on Wednesday that Kieren Lovell had been withdrawn from their squad and replaced by Dylan Moore.
Former Gold Coast speedster Adam Saad has been picked for Essendon, with David Zaharakis to skipper the Bombers. Last year's NAB AFL Rising Star winner Andrew McGrath is also in the side.
