ADELAIDE forward Tom Lynch's season has ended early, with the 22-year-old booked in for foot surgery next week.
Lynch was a late withdrawal from Adelaide's clash against Melbourne on Saturday, replaced in the side by Richard Tambling.
In a season where the club's attack struggled without Taylor Walker, Kurt Tippett and Josh Jenkins, Lynch has proved a revelation in attack, booting a team-high 33 goals from 17 games.
Patrick Dangerfield is second on the club's goal kicking table with 27.
Lynch is expected to be fit for the first day of what looms a vital pre-season for the Crows.
