CHARLIE Cameron's injured right elbow does not require surgery.

The dynamic Brisbane small forward hyperextended it in the opening minutes of Saturday night's semi-final loss to Greater Western Sydney and, after having it heavily strapped, managed to play out the game.

Scans showed Cameron has a medial ligament strain and will need to be in a brace for up to six weeks.

He will be able to run during the off-season and is expected to start the Lions' pre-season on time in late November.

Cameron was not the only concern coming out of the three-point loss to the Giants, with ruckman Stefan Martin (corked leg) and defender Marcus Adams (rolled ankle) also suffering injuries.

Both will be fine in the coming weeks.

Mitch Robinson, who suffered a hamstring injury in the qualifying final loss to Richmond, would likely have been available if the Lions advanced to the preliminary final.

Robinson ran 11km on Saturday in a bid to return.

Every Brisbane player is expected to start next pre-season on time.
