ADELAIDE midfielder Matt Crouch has had more surgery on a groin injury which wrecked his 2021.

Crouch, who didn't play in a game in the premiership season, underwent another operation on Monday with the Crows uncertain when he will run again.

Adelaide's 2017 club champion had hip surgery in the last off-season and was then troubled by a groin complaint.

Crouch had surgery in May and played one state league game before reporting more soreness.

The 26-year-old was then ruled out for the remainder of the season but was "making good progress in his rehabilitation and return to running", until his latest setback, the Crows said in a statement on Monday.

"After seeking further medical advice the decision was made for the on-baller to have more surgery," the statement said.

"The operation was to alleviate soreness and a timeline of Crouch's return to running will become clearer with his rehabilitation in coming weeks."

Crouch fell out of contract at the end of the season but has signed a fresh two-year deal with the Crows.
