The teams have been selected for the 2022 NAB League Girls Grand Final between Dandenong Stingrays and Western Jets at Avalon Airport Oval, Werribee on Friday 8 April at 7:10pm.
Both teams are out to win their first NAB League Girls title and go into the game on impressive winning streaks. The Stingrays are undefeated in 2022 having won all nine of their home-and-away games to top the Country/Tasmania Conference. They then beat Geelong Falcons in the Semi-Final last Saturday by 17 points to make it a perfect 10-on-the-trot.
The Jets lost their opening match but won their remaining eight home-and-away games to finish on top of the Metro Conference. They continued that form by beating Eastern Ranges by 13 points in the Semi-Final to extend their winning streak to nine. The Stingrays and Jets haven't yet played each other this season.
Neither side has played in a NAB League Girls Grand Final since the competition began in 2017.
