ADELAIDE is set to have a near full-strength list for round one, with a galaxy of stars ready to get a pre-season run under their belt this weekend.

Midfielder Bryce Gibbs is a certain starter for Friday night's JLT Community Series game against Greater Western Sydney in Canberra after missing last Saturday's win over Port Adelaide with a shoulder injury.

Key defender Daniel Talia (knee) is expected to join him, winger David Mackay (AC joint) should be available and midfielder Hugh Greenwood (abdominal) and small defender Luke Brown (ankle/Achilles) are more likely to return through the club's SANFL team in a trial against Norwood at Coopers Stadium on Friday night.

FULL INJURY LIST Who's racing the clock for round one?

Forward Riley Knight should be cleared from a knock to his ankle sustained against the Power, leaving only second-year defender Andrew McPherson on the injured list heading into the season opener against Hawthorn on March 23.

"Yep, (Gibbs) will play," Crows assistant coach Ben Hart told radio station FIVEaa on Monday afternoon.

"Not sure yet (about Greenwood), hoping to be available, but if not he might be SANFL.

"(Talia) should be able to play.

"(Brown) will train to see if he will be available, but he could also be SANFL.

"(Mackay) will be up for selection as well, so it's a nice position to be in considering where we were last year."

Knight didn't finish the 17-point win against the Power in Port Pirie on Saturday, but the injury isn't serious.

"He'll be fine, it's just a little tweak to the ankle, so nothing too bad, it was more precautionary that he didn't come back on," Hart said.

"He could've continued to play.

"Having an uninterrupted pre-season his running power is as good as we've got, so for him to get up the ground and then bob up forward of the ball is pretty impressive."
