We take a look at how three Eagles players performed in the final WAFL hit-out before the season proper.

Swan Districts v Subiaco
Adam Hunter:
Played full-forward but often started at centre half-forward for centre bounce downs and then moved deeper into attack. He had three opponents over the night - Rumble, Gallagher and Adamson-Holmes and out-pointed each of them. He played all of the first three quarters and then came off 10 minutes into the last term. He was the key player in the game, kicking seven goals and having a hand in at least four or five others. His positive attitude and commitment to play for Swans showed in his game and he was in good touch, taking nine marks, with his decision making and leading being very good.

Ryan Davis: Ryan started in the midfield opposed to Subiaco young gun Daniel Rich and gave him too much latitude. He spent five minutes on the interchange bench and in the second quarter, opposed Rich and Miller. In the second half he started on the interchange bench and came on to play wing, midfield and half-forward and his run, decision making and use of the ball was much better. He kicked two goals and a great intercept also resulted in a Swans goal.

East Fremantle v East Perth
Tim Houlihan: Tim played majority of the game on the wing opposed to Aaron Sweet and in the fourth quarter picked up Adam Pickering, Jon Eastwell and Joel Reynolds. In the first quarter Tim focused too much on the defensive aspects of his game and rarely put himself in a position to be in the game, but after quarter time his attitude seemed to change. He used his run to advantage and put himself in good positions, especially down middle of the ground. Also, his ability to get to many contests and assist was a feature of his game. He finished the game strongly, and his confidence returned with his kicking and his disposal efficiency was high. Picked up 30 possessions in a very good effort.
