THE ROAR might not be back just yet, but Lions fans are confident good times are about to return to the Gabba.

Giving their season verdict in an AFL.com.au survey, Brisbane supporters rated their side's campaign 6.5 out of 10.

It's comfortably the healthiest rating delivered by fans of the bottom seven sides, despite the Lions finishing fourth bottom and winning only five games.

Fans emphatically backed coach Chris Fagan, and were encouraged by Brisbane's improving young brigade including former No.1 draft pick Cam Rayner.

Dayne Beams was voted the Lions best player ahead of emerging star defender Harris Andrews, whose excellent season was interrupted by a sickening collision with Giant Jeremy Cameron.

Twin wins over Hawthorn were among the onfield high points.

Among the lows were new skipper Dayne Zorko's post-QClash confrontations with Gold Coast's Touk Miller. Lions fans were critical of Zorko's behaviour, though generally emphasising his outbursts were out of character.

Here are the full survey results, and a selection of Brisbane fans' season highlights and lowlights..

What was the moment you'll remember?

Josh Walker taking a speccy, then 10 seconds later Cam Rayner leaping over the top of the pack and taking a hanger.
- Michael Johnson, Berwick Vic

Chris Fagan wrapping his arm around Rayner when he missed the set shot that would have won us the game against North.
- Tara Rohl, Tingalpa Qld

Rayner having a bounce on the wing and giving Darcy Lang a don't argue. It had Dustin Martin written all over it.
- Tom Fitzgerald, Floreat WA

Our (round seven) game against Collingwood. Even though we didnt get the win, losing by seven points, it was a cracker and showed so much promise.
- Hudson Findlay, Melbourne, Vic

Beating the Hawks in Launceston. Not many teams can say they have done that!
- Jim Kean, Snug Tas

What was the moment you'd rather forget?

Harris Andrews being knocked unconscious. He was on track for the best season he's had and an All Australian berth. He will only get better though.
- Noah Darby, Fitzroy Vic

Dayne Zorko's embarrassing performance after the Gold Coast match. Unprofessional.
- David Cowley, Maryvale Qld

The abysmal two-goal game against Richmond. So hard to watch from the stands. Frustrating to see so little attack.
