FREMANTLE players Stephen Hill and Greg Broughton have both agreed to contract extensions, tying them to the club until 2012 and 2011 respectively.

Hill was one of only seven Fremantle players to play all 22 home and away games in 2009, his debut season.

The 19-year-old was the third pick in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft and won a NAB Rising Star nomination for his performance against West Coast in round six.

Broughton, a multiple premiership player with Subiaco who won the Lions' club champion award in 2008, was Fremantle's sixth round pick (No.74 overall) in the 2008 rookie draft and was elevated to the senior list early in the year and made his debut against Adelaide in round three.

The 22-year-old, who played 15 games in his debut AFL season, finished third in the AFL Players' Association award for the best first year player.

General manager of player management Brad Lloyd said the club was looking forward to helping both players take the next step in their football development.

"They both impressed with the way they went about their football in their debut seasons," he said.

"We see Stephen and Greg as being long-term players for the club."
