This Indigenous Round, Sydney Swans champion and Australian of the Year, Adam Goodes has got together with Toyota to auction off his much-loved 2013 Prius V for a great cause, the GO Foundation.

All money raised from the sale will go to the GO Foundation which was started by Goodes back in 2009 with retired Swans team mate Micky O’Loughlin.

“The foundation is doing fantastic work to make a positive impact on the lives of young indigenous Australians through self-empowerment, education and employment. I hope everyone bids generously so we raise a great total and keep up the good work”, said Goodes.

This is a unique opportunity for one lucky fan to buy a fantastic car and support a great cause.

The Prius V is being auctioned off on the SHOP AFL website www.shop.afl.com.au to the highest bidder from Thursday morning May 29 to 9am Tuesday June 10 with no reserve.

The dual Brownlow Medallist has driven this car for the past year to get to training sessions, home games and even to Canberra where he accepted the Australian of the Year Award.

Goodes is even throwing in his own Indigenous Round Sydney Swans’ jersey signed by him to sweeten the deal!

“The Prius V fits in perfectly with my lifestyle up here in Sydney. It gets me from A to B, it’s small enough to squeeze into tight parking spots and it’s big enough to fit a 6’4” ruck rover with comfort”, said Goodes.

The Prius V features seven seat carrying capacity, rear parking assist camera and a boot that’s big enough for a load of training gear with room left over for a premiership cup or two. But after owning a string of gas guzzling V8s and thirsty sports cars, Goodes says the Prius V’s amazing fuel efficiency is easily its biggest selling point.

“I fill up once a month and I’m good to go. I love it so much that I even convinced my mum and brother to buy a Prius too, so it’s become a family affair.”

This unique footy collectible has had one fastidious owner, is in great condition and comes personally signed by Goodes on both the engine and drivers’ seat sun visor.

“It really is a fantastic chance to buy a one-off piece of signed memorabilia, score a deal on a great car and support a cause I’m really passionate about. It’s a win-win for everyone, thanks to the support I’ve received from Toyota and the AFL.”
