Five Decades of Flags
This year, the Club recognises the 50-year anniversary since Hawthorn’s first premiership success and celebrates the achievement of ‘Five Decades of Flags’.Hawthorn played rather an insignificant role in the VFL, for more than 30 years. That changed in the late 1950s when the Hawks made their first finals appearance and in 1961 won their first VFL Premiership.
