WEST COAST Eagles assistant coach Darren Harris has admitted his team is lacking confidence and form as they head into a clash with the winless Port Adelaide on Sunday afternoon at Subiaco Oval.

West Coast began the season with a win over Brisbane, but hasn't won since, while Port is travelling even worse, with last year's grand finalists having no wins on the board and held off the bottom of the ladder by only the struggling Demons.

Harris was asked about veteran wingman Michael Braun, who has been well down on his usual form this season, but the former West Perth premiership coach turned the heat on the playing group as a whole.

"At the moment our form's down a little bit. I don't think we can be judged on four games, I'd like to be judged at the end of the season," he said before Friday training.

"Michael Braun's been an outstanding player for the footy club, and he's one of probably 15 players at the moment that's trying to find form.

"All we can do is work hard, which we've been doing. The players have been fantastic in the way they've been up and about."

Harris said former vice-captain Andrew Embley had recovered from his mystery blood illness, David Wirrpanda was right to go after missing last week with a hamstring complaint, and Chad Jones and/or Josh Kennedy would bring good WAFL form into the side if they were selected.

But his big wraps were saved for skipper Darren Glass and ruckman/midfielder Dean Cox, both of whom play their 150th on Sunday, thereby gaining life membership of the club.

"We've got two 150-game players playing this weekend, so that's a big plus for us, because the players want to go out there and perform at their absolute best for those two players who have given enormous service to the footy club.

"We just watched the vision of their performances over the 150 games, and they're just outstanding stories."
