DYNAMIC West Coast forward Willie Rioli could come under scrutiny for a hard tackle that left Sydney utility Colin O'Riordan dazed during the second quarter of Sunday's clash at the SCG.

Rioli dumped O'Riordan with a heavy tackle that is sure to be viewed closely by the Match Review Officer, with the blow sending the Irishman from the field for a concussion test and left him sitting slumped on the Swans' bench late in the second term.

The tackle was similar to the one that saw Rioli's teammate Lewis Jetta suspended for a week when he slung Melbourne forward Tim Smith to the ground during the round nine clash.

Rioli has only been back in the Eagles' side for the last month, after the small forward missed the opening eight rounds of the year with a foot issue.

SORE AND SORRY Bye just in time for Eagles, says Simpson

The Eagles' day only deteriorated from there as Lance Franklin and Tom Papley shared 10 goals to lead the Swans to a 45-point win.
