THE AFL has conceded its Drinkwise Score Review system made two separate mistakes in the Brisbane-Collingwood game at the Gabba on Thursday night.

The League said on Friday morning that both goals awarded to the Magpies should have been called behinds.

The first blunder came in the first quarter when Collingwood forward Brody Mihocek was awarded a goal, despite replays clearly showing his low kick had brushed the padding wrapped around the left goal post.

"The goal awarded to Brody Mihocek in the first quarter of the round five match between the Brisbane Lions and Collingwood should have been overturned to a behind," the AFL said.

"The available vision and technology showed the ball brushing the goal-post padding."

The second mistake came in the fourth term when the officiating goal umpire adjudged Lion Oscar McInerney had touched the ball kicked by Pie Josh Thomas before it had crossed the goal line.

However, after a review with what looked to be inconclusive vision a goal was awarded incorrectly, according to the League.

"There was insufficient evidence beyond a reasonable doubt to overturn the goal umpire's call of a behind," the tweet read.

The errors follow a similar incident in the round three match between Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs with coach Luke Beveridge left stunned by a behind call that he thought was clearly a goal.

The speedy score review into Sam Lloyd's shot at goal determined Bulldogs forward Aaron Naughton got his hands on the footy before the whole ball had crossed the goal line, thus registering a minor score.

But Beveridge said the replays showed otherwise.
