GOLD Coast utility Sean Lemmens has signed on with the club for a further three seasons.

Lemmens has played 69 games since joining the Suns and will be with them until at least the end of 2021.

The 23-year-old said new coach Stuart Dew played a huge role in his decision.

"Having Stuey come on board this year, it’s been awesome," Lemmens told goldcoastfc.com.au.

"The family culture he brings and the awareness around family and how much he cares about you, is definitely a standout and that’s the biggest reason why I stayed."

Lemmens has had a frustrating start to the season, suffering a hamstring injury during the JLT Community Series and then requiring surgery to repair a fractured wrist.

He started his career as a small defender but was playing in the forward line this season before injury struck.

"Obviously I’ve been pretty unlucky with injuries so far this year but that happens to everyone," he said.
