GEELONG has resisted the temptation to rest any of its stars with its finals berth secured ahead of Saturday's clash with Gold Coast.

As Essendon ended Port Adelaide's faint finals hopes on Friday night to ensure the Cats' spot in September, Chris Scott's side will go in as named at GMHBA Stadium.

Jed Bews has been named for his return, having missed the past fortnight with a shoulder injury.

The Suns have made one change from their team named on Thursday night, with Josh Schoenfeld replacing Ben Ainsworth who misses with a hip complaint.

With Geelong champion Gary Ablett on the verge of his first finals series since 2010, the year he left the Cats, he will play his first game at home against his former side.

Daniel Menzel, Jordan Murdoch, Cam Guthrie and Mark O'Connor will start on the bench for the Cats.

Veteran Michael Rischitelli, who remains out of contract at season's end, will begin on the bench alongside Schoenfeld, Brayden Fiorini and Jarryd Lyons.
