WITH FINALS starting this weekend in women's football competitions in Western Australia and Queensland and just weeks away in other leagues, we take a look at how some of the AFLW-listed players at your club performed last weekend.

Adelaide

Anne Hatchard booted four goals for the Northern Territory Thunder in the VFLW as they defeated Williamstown by 45 points in Werribee.

Courtney Cramey, an All-Australian in 2017, was among the Thunder's best in restricting the Seagulls to one goal in the second half.

Jasmyn Hewett performed superbly in the ruck, with the Northern Territory local pivotal in helping the Thunder win the clearances against the Seagulls.

Forward Sarah Perkins booted Hawthorn's first goal but was quiet in the second half as the Hawks fell to Darebin by four points in the VFLW.

Brisbane

Jess Wuetschner kicked six goals for Coorparoo in its 85-point win against Coolangatta. The West Australian is second in the QWAFL's goalkicking with 20.

Gabby Collingwood booted two goals in the University of Queensland's 64-point win over Maroochydore. The Red Lions have won four in a row ahead of this weekend's QWAFL semi-final against Coolangatta.

Sabrina Frederick-Traub missed the same match due to work commitments, but the forward has been in form, kicking eight goals in her past two matches.

Carlton

Darcy Vescio and Sarah Hosking were among Carlton's best in the loss to Casey by 10 points in VFLW action. Vescio kicked one of the Blues' three goals and was dangerous in the air. Hosking lived up to her in-and-under reputation, laying tackles and keeping the Blues in the game until the final siren.

Kate Shierlaw was best on ground in the ruck for Darebin in its four-point VFLW win over Hawthorn in Northcote.

Collingwood

Stephanie Chiocci booted two goals for the Pies in a standout performance against Essendon.

Chloe Molloy, Sarah D'Arcy, Eliza Hynes and Nicole Hildebrand were all rested for the Pies. They were among 11 changes for the match.

Holly Whitford was the best of Collingwood's AFLW-listed inclusions, playing across half-forward.

Collingwood has won 10 of its 11 VFLW matches this season and remains on top of the ladder. The Magpies have a showdown with second-placed Northern Territory Thunder at Victoria Park on Saturday.

Fremantle

Melissa Caulfield kicked three goals for East Fremantle as it finished the home and away season on top of the WAWFL ladder.

The WAWFL finals start this weekend, with East Fremantle hosting Peel and Swan Districts playing Subiaco.

Geelong

Cassie Blakeway was best on ground as the Cats scored their biggest win of the VFLW season – a 59-point drubbing of Richmond. The runner-up in the 2017 VFLW best and fairest was instrumental in setting up the Cats' attacking forays from the wing.

Forward Phoebe McWilliams was among the best for the Hawks in a close loss to Darebin in the VFLW.

Greater Western Sydney

Phoebe Monahan was in the leading disposal winners for Richmond with 14 touches, despite the Tigers scoring only one goal against Geelong in the VFLW.

Pepa Randall had a quiet game for Hawthorn, after 15 disposals and two tackles a fortnight ago in a VFLW win against the Southern Saints.

Melbourne

Midfielder Elise O'Dea has been pivotal to Darebin's return to form and was among the best for the third time in four matches. O'Dea's connection with Melbourne AFLW teammate and ruck Lauren Pearce was a key part of Darebin's four-point VFLW win against Hawthorn last Saturday.

Eden Zanker booted three of Casey's five goals in a 10-point win against Carlton in the VFLW. It was the key forward's best game for Casey this season and she has kicked nine goals in 11 games.

North Melbourne

A number of North Melbourne's AFLW-listed players had the weekend off, with Melbourne University having the bye in the VFLW.

Jenna Bruton and Jess Duffin each had 23 disposals in a losing effort for Williamstown against the Northern Territory Thunder in the VFLW. Bruton laid a team-high 10 tackles, with Duffin scoring a goal and claiming nine marks.

Maddison Smith was part of a Clarence Roos side that fell by 10 points to Launceston in the TSLW.

Western Bulldogs

Belinda Smith kicked five goals as East Fremantle crushed South Fremantle by 129 points in the WAWFL.

Midfielder Emma Mackie was busy for Hawthorn in its loss to Darebin in the VFLW.
