About us

The Essendon Football Club – “The Bombers” – are a professional sporting organisation in the Australian Football League, home to several teams, including AFL, AFLW, VFL, VFLW and Wheelchair Football programs. But we’re more than the game. At Essendon, unity binds us. We firmly believe that our strength comes from standing together as One Club, embracing our rich diversity, and uniting around a shared purpose. Our passion fuels every kick, every play, and every decision.

The essence of the Essendon legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of the Australian sporting calendar, through significant events such as the ANZAC Day and Dreamtime clashes, underscoring our commemoration and connection to national identity. Our heritage sets us apart, shaping our ethos and inspiring our journey. We strive to be better every day, pushing the boundaries and relentlessly pursuing excellence. But amidst the intensity of competition, respect remains paramount. We care about our impact on others, whether it’s our teammates, opponents, or our community. When we ‘Don the Sash’, we do so with unity, passion, excellence, and respect guiding our every move, Always Striving toward our next triumph on the premiership stage.

About the role

As our Video & Digital Content Creator, you’ll play a key role in bringing the Bombers’ story to life, producing engaging and entertaining content for the Club’s digital platforms, including our website, app and social media channels.

Reporting to the Video Lead, you’ll film and edit a variety of content such as media conferences, training sessions, interviews, and video series, working across our five teams (AFL, AFLW, VFL, VFLW and VWFL). You’ll upload videos to the club website and YouTube channel and work to create innovative, snackable formats for social media that capture the energy of the Club.

Beyond that, you’ll collaborate closely with departments across the organisation to produce high-quality content for internal projects, commercial partnerships, match-day activities, and Club events. You’ll also contribute to photography when needed, and either bring experience using After Effects or be keen to develop your skills in this area.

About you

You’re a creative storyteller with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine love of sport. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and know how to craft content that connects with audiences and amplifies brand identity.

You’ll bring proven experience in video production, editing and storytelling, with strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and a solid understanding of social media trends. You communicate clearly, work well in a team, and have a creative mindset paired with a passion for producing engaging content that showcases the heart of the Club. Photography skills would be a bonus, and familiarity with Adobe After Effects, or a willingness to learn, will help elevate your work even further.
