KUWARNA star Izak Rankine will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a calf injury during Thursday night's loss to Hawthorn in Launceston.

Scans have confirmed Rankine has suffered a moderate grade strain, but no timeline has been set for his return.

After dominating the first half, the Crows livewire pulled up sore in the third quarter and spent several minutes on the bench receiving treatment before being ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Meanwhile, Callum Ah Chee underwent scans on his hand but has been cleared of any fracture.

The Crows recruit left the field in the third quarter but returned to play out the match.

"Both Cal and Izak will be assessed further at the club in the coming days,” Kuwarna high performance boss Ian McKeown said.

"Following that, we will have a clearer understanding of timelines for both."

Ah Chee was playing his first AFL game since injuring his hamstring in round two.
