THE OPPORTUNITY 

The Head of Content & Creative leads the Sydney Swans’ content, storytelling, social and digital strategy, shaping how the Club connects with members, fans, partners, players and the broader community. This role is responsible for driving audience engagement, strengthening the Club’s brand and delivering impactful content experiences across all platforms. 

Leading the Club’s content ecosystem, you will oversee social media, digital platforms, video production, photography and creative campaigns. You will drive innovative storytelling, grow digital audiences, and ensure the Sydney Swans remains at the forefront of sport, entertainment and fan engagement. 

Working closely with teams across football, commercial, marketing and membership, you will lead a high-performing content and creative team to deliver compelling campaigns, partner activations and real-time content that brings the Sydney Swans story to life. 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 
 

  • Senior experience leading content, creative, social media or digital functions.  
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, media, marketing or a related discipline will be highly regarded. 
  • Experience leading video, multimedia and digital content across multiple platforms.  
  • Strong creative direction and campaign development skills.  
  • Strong understanding of platform trends, social-first storytelling and digital audience behaviour.  
  • Commercial acumen, including sponsor, partner and branded content experience.  
  • Proven ability to build, develop and lead high-performing creative teams.  
  • Confident using digital analytics and audience insights to shape content strategy.  

 

Due to the nature of the industry, the ideal candidate must be flexible in their availability as extended hours and weekend work will be required for this role.
