WESTERN Bulldogs will be without an injured Ellie Blackburn on Saturday against Richmond, while North Melbourne and Collingwood have made big selection calls, recalling Emma Kearney and Bri Davey.

Blackburn will miss due to hamstring tightness, with key back Lauren Ahrens coming in for her first game of the season. 

Roos spearhead Emma King has made way for ex-captain Emma Kearney in a structural change to the line-up.

Former Collingwood skipper Davey is set to make her long-awaited return to football, named in the Sunday squad after ankle and foot injuries, but Lucy Cronin will miss with a shoulder complaint.

After a round one loss, Gold Coast has added some maturity in Maddy Brancatisano (ankle) and Katie Lynch for their first game of the season.

Carlton is likely to be boosted ahead of its big clash with Adelaide, with Sophie McKay (calf), Keeley Sherar (quad) and Maddy Hendrie (ankle) all named in the extended squad.

Brisbane has recalled young key forward Rania Crozier in place of suspended Dakota Davidson.

St Kilda will field its first female Irish player, with pre-season draftee and former County Mayo skipper Saoirse Lally to play against Geelong after impressing in the VFLW last weekend. Darcy Guttridge has recovered from a minor back complaint, but J'Noemi Anderson (hamstring) and Abby Hobson (concussion) will miss.

Despite losing to North Melbourne by a club-record 73 points, Geelong is unchanged, with a recovered Nic Stevens (knee) unable to break into the team, named as an emergency.

Richmond will have its own debut, adding some speed in the form of mature-age draftee Fina Dethlefsen from Perth's WAFLW team in place of the injured Baia Pugh.

West Coast injury replacement player Natasha Entwistle has been named for her AFLW debut, replacing Jovie Skewes-Clinton.

Melbourne is set to swap rucks, with a recovered Lauren Pearce (knee) named in place of Jacinta Hose (ankle) for its Sunday game against Greater Western Sydney.
