ST KILDA has added Brisbane premiership ruck Oscar McInerney to Ross Lyon's coaching panel for 2027.

The 32-year-old will join the Saints as a ruck coach to work with Tom De Koning and Alex Dodson at RSEA Park.

McInerney retired at the end of 2025 with a year to run on his contract after playing in the Lions' Grand Final win over Geelong.

The Victorian played 165 games across nine years in Brisbane after being recruited as a rookie from the Casey Scorpions at the end of 2016.

McInerney missed the 2024 premiership after injuring his shoulder in the preliminary final, before a lingering back injury prompted him to call time last year.

St Kilda could add another ruckman across the next few months via the Draft, DFA window or during the pre-season supplemental selection period after Rowan Marshall was traded to Geelong.

The Saints have also re-signed midfield coach Robert Harvey for two more seasons.

VFL coach Brendon Goddard and head of learning Damian Carroll have both signed new contracts to remain at the club.

St Kilda will need to hire a new player development manager this off-season after veteran welfare boss Tony Brown was poached by the Western Bulldogs this month.
